A new set of resources we’ve been developing to support how film students learn is now live.
Created in collaboration with Sharon Lacoste McDonagh, these two card decks are designed to transform how students engage with film production roles in the classroom.

🎬 Deck One: Practical
From first idea to final edit, these cards guide hands-on filmmaking through clearly defined production roles. Director, cinematographer, editor, sound designer, and screenwriter are each brought into focus through intention-led prompts that turn ideas into action.

🎥 Deck Two: Analysis
A structured approach to reading film. These cards support students in analysing how meaning is constructed on screen through what is seen and heard, helping build precise, confident textual analysis.
Together, the decks move students seamlessly between making and reading film, with clarity, purpose, and a shared language.

Designed for IB, MYP, A Level, and GCSE Film and Media Studies, they support both classroom teaching and emerging filmmakers developing their craft.
